On the subject of reviewing food.

I would love to hear from others who have tried Gluten-Free foods, but I hope to put up a review of the following products tonight:

Udi’s bread (Wholegrain, Sandwich Bread, Cinnamon and Raisin)

Udi’s Bagles (Plain, Cinnamon and Raisin)

Glutino Crakers (Plain, Cheddar and Multigrain)

Biscotti ((forgive me, I don’t have the brand infront of me, but they’re Chocolate and Walnut))

And Miranda has a recipe for simple sushi!

Hopefully these will be up before midnight tonight.

Again, I apologize for the long silence, college tends to come with homework.

Thank you and stay healthy!

Argh food frustrations

I think the best part about this experiment is that I’m totally open and willing to try this out. Christy actually was feeding me some of these chips she had the other day, and I was surprised to learn that they were made of nuts, and nothing but nuts. I didn’t even know they could do that, and they were really good! Today, we went out to dinner and she challenged me to pick off the gluten-free menu, so I passed up walnut shrimp for a simpler fried rice dish, and oh my god I will never be able to eat take out fried rice again, it was delicious.

The worst part so far is, I’ve just finished moving in, and Christy is allergic to pretty much all of the food stuffs I brought with me. So I’m munching on my graham crackers right now to get rid of them, and keeping it out of her way, but it’s still annoying since now I’ll have to be really careful.

It’s no problem really, it’s just a challenge. I’m not used to paying attention to labels since I’ve never had any allergies. So this is going to be interesting. Our first joint grocery shopping trip is scheduled for tomorrow. Hopefully I’ll be able to stock up on some gluten and wheat free baking stuffs, since that’s my main problem with not being able to share my food with her. I love baking for people! So now I have a whole bunch of cake mix to get rid of haha.

I’m going to start paying attention to gluten free food down in the cafeteria too. This is pretty good to get me paying more attention to what I’m eating in general as well.
